Tinted Blue Fans,
Now hear this... Tinted Blue has just launched a Myspace page. That is right!! The band is now a member of this "unique group of individuals". Please do not be fearful, as I was, to become involved with this "freakshow". Myspace is fantastic for bands like Tinted Blue to pedal our anthem of original music and to stay in contact with our fanbase. We are at www.myspace.com/tintedblueband. Please visit us to hear songs, view pics, become a friend and communicate with the band. Our March studio session is on display, as we prepare for round two, beginning in early May. We have a hyperlink on our website to also expedite service. Our Myspace page will be maintained more often as our website undergoes construction in the future. So hop on as the ride continues... Regards, Mike and the Band
To all Groupies, We hope you are off to a successful 2008! This will be a pivotal year for us, and we have a plan in place. Our bank of original material is 75% complete and we aim to begin recording in March. No two songs sound the same. It's heavy enough to jam and light enough to feel. While we have been pleased, we still have work to do. We are also extending an invitation to lead vocalists that may be interested in fronting Tinted Blue. So if you feel you can be a piece of the machine or know someone that is a serious singer, please write our website with your contact info. Be prepared to "bring your lunch" too because we practice often (not as "often" as we can!!). Thank you for all your support and inquiries as to when we will be gigging again. We certainly miss performing, but our focus is going to be on recording and auditioning in the near future. We will let you know what is happening as the next few months develop. Peace and NYG... Mike, Steven, Chris & Jimmy Greetings to friends and fans, We hope this letter finds you well. To get you caught up, Terry Arnold has left the band for personal reasons. We will miss our friend and vocalist dearly. Tinted Blue will be performing our last gig with Terrance at Grumpy's Halloween Bash, Saturday October 27, 9:00 pm start time. Come out dressed in a costume or as yourself to wish Terry well with his future! The band will continue to write through the holidays and record at some point this winter. We will not be auditioning vocalists for a while. The new music is coming along very well and we are extremely excited. A chosen few who have heard early cuts have not been able to pigeon-hole our style. The Connecticut Blues Society has released "Blue State Blues", a CD of local Blues talent that is fantastic from start to finish. Tinted Blue happens to finish off the CD with our rockin' blues original "Rev Me Up". Support the CTBS, we are lucky to have such an organization dedicated to fine music. I would usually be more detailed and humorous but this computer will not allow me to write for long before I lose my draft, so forgive my frankness. I would rather have an individual conversation with each of you on a street corner. Keep the Faith, the band is getting stronger... Tinted Blue
This just in from the Tinted Blue news desk...The band would like to congratulate author extraordinaire and die hard TB fan Anthony Pioppi on the release of his long awaited book titled, "To the Nines." A documentary of prolific nine hole golf courses in America, the book is available at Border's Books & Music and Amazon.com. In a non related story...Tinted Blue has learned (although not confirmed) that legendary Blues, Booze & BBQ venue Theodore's in Springfield, MA will no longer be doing live entertainment as of January 1, 2007. While we are deeply saddened by this news we are honored to be one of the last performing acts on December 29, 2006. If true this would be a devastating loss to the entire music community. Steven E. Woods has started growing side burns...we'll keep you posted on his progress. Terry kept his ironman streak alive after unannounced rotator cuff surgery and surviving a tornado scare.

As
far as Tinted Blue "news" goes... Mike, Terry, Chris and Steven would
like to wish our former bass player Rick White the best of luck with his future
endeavors. Rick was a member of Tinted Blue for 3 plus years, and a
big part of our success. We will all miss him. He was our
webmaster and also health director for 2 of his three years. We had a
lot of good times and hot gigs with Rick holding down the bottom end (He
also had a lit cigarette thrown in his face and a runaway saxophone chip his '68
P-Bass) But anyway... Enter
Jimmy Makraus. The essence of Jimmy is like finding that missing pair of
Levi's that used to fit so well...or your grandmother's pasta fagiloli recipe.
Jim played with Tinted Blue prior to Rick joining the band and we would
like to welcome him back. Mr. Makraus is the kindest of gentlemen, a Big
Ben timekeeper, fantastic bassist, and most of all: he fathoms
the waters of the eccentric By
the way, we promise our next update to be sooner than the last and would
like to thank each and every one of you for your continued support...PEACE

Quote of the day: "Tinted Blue was a refreshing surprise of a no bullshit, straight ahead, fat-back groove. Let the good times roll!"
